3 Ways to Celebrate the New Year with Your Pup

The holiday season is winding down, and that means that the new year is fast on its way. When most people think of New Year’s Eve, they think of parties and couples kissing at the stroke of midnight, but who says we can’t ring in the new year with our lovely dogs instead? Check out our 3 fun ways to celebrate the new year with your pup:

  1. Offer to Dog-Sit for Your Friends

Chances are high that most of your friends will have plans on New Year’s Eve, so do them (and your dog) a solid and offer to dog-sit their pooches! Your friends will love that they don’t have to worry about rushing back home to take out the dogs, and your pup will be head over paws when he realizes that he has playmates for the night. Sounds like a doggy date to us!

  1. Teach Your Pup a New Trick

When was the last time you spent quality bonding time with Fido by teaching him a new trick? This is great for establishing and maintaining a close relationship with your dog, and you’ll be excited to show off your training skills to your friends in the new year! Plus, you’ll be getting a jump on National Train Your Dog Month, which is observed every year during January!

  1. Did Somebody Say Movie Marathon!?

New Year’s Eve parties aren’t for everyone, and if you’re looking to simply relax during your final moments of 2018, a movie marathon is the way to go. Combine your favorites movies with some of your dog’s favorites (we hear Lady and the Tramp is a classic pooch favorite). Make some popcorn for you, grab some dog wine for your pup, kick back and enjoy!

We hope you have an amazing time regardless of what you choose to do on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day! May 2019 bring you more happiness, growth, wealth and, most importantly, new puppy additions to the family!
